Hello, Welcome to Team Canberra Netball's blog.
We're are from Cdiv`2007 & Bdiv`2008.
Netball = Passion = Love.
And for us, we love Netball more than anything else.
We aim to get top 4 in zonals every year, and to take part in the Nationals is our dream as a whole team.
Even though we do complain about our harsh trainings under the sun, we do take every single training session very seriously because
during friendly matches, we want to play the match "cleanly" and win the match.
as we want to make our Coach, our teacher i/c and our school proud of us.
We are a very bonded team & we do every single thing together. We love each other but we love Netball the most because:
Netball is our sizzling hot passion!
In Netball, it's a team game and moody-ness is our weakness. Why? Because when one of us is down, we're down as a team too.
Which T.E.A.M means Together Everyone Achieves More.

I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE FIGHTING DRAGONS WITH YOU
the title can't be seen so i shall manually type it out ;p
If you happened to pass by this (godforsaken) blog, this is my two cents point of view. You can choose to read it, or skip it.
I miss Netball. I miss playing competitive Netball.
I miss Team Canberra Netball. I miss TCN'07.
I just had this sudden urge to blog here. I don't know why too. Perhaps it's because I'm having my op in less than a month's time. In a month's time today, I'd probably be walking around with my knee brace and my trusty crutches. Okay, this op thing might not be a big deal because this injury is common in athletes. Netball players to be precise. But this op, means the world to me. Because I want to be back on court. No matter how many more years it'd take me. I want to be back on court.
Let's go back to where we first started. The eleven of us, with Miss April Lee and Mr Awyong as our teachers-in-charge. None of us had foundations, and none of us could throw a ball properly. But we did it. WE DID IT.
Impossible wasn't a word found in our dictionary.
Training weren't easy. Remember out of the school training, we had to go to ajc during the weekends just to train together with them? For a year our saturdays were burnt. Then there came Nee Soon East Netball League, we lost all our games (with the excuse of us being the youngest team against the a divs and the old people), and we were punished like nobody's business?
Looking back, it was all silly right... We could probably laugh at the times we were so tired. We often got punished to run to the furthest lamp post at Yishun's court we played for nee soon east.
Combined training with Nanhua and Greenview.......................We weren't as good as them. We wanted Coach's attention but we didn't get as much as they did. We got so demoralized. Haha. I really didn't know why we were so jealous.
24 hour street netball, Netballuxion. YES WE LOST ALL OUR MATCHES AGAIN HAHA. How many matches have we lost? ;p
don't ask me why I remember so many incidents, they're just coming back to me free flow...
Our first zonals, group champs for round one and remember for round two... our match against Anderson where WE WENT TO THE WRONG VENUE? Haha. Instead of northland sec we went to Sports school? And we ended up losing our first match in round 2? Every one went back crying? And we swore to play even better? Even though we were going to be up against st joseph's convent?
And for that match. Was heart breaking jaw dropping BUT it was worth it. I shall not elaborate more. But we all understood the feeling by winning a game by a tight margin. (that's why juniors, every point counts.) WE WON THEM BY 4. The feeling was amazing............. :') :')
Then zonals came in the next year. Group champs again for round one.............. Round two: We lost to st. nicks, that's okay because it's expected. And remember our lousy game against Riverside? Where we played like we weren't Netball players? The game that got us out of the season? Haha..
Then remember going for u17 trials together as a whole team! Great exposure........... :) :) :)
PERTH TRIP. I SHAN'T ELABORATE BECAUSE I'M GETTING TIRED. I BET ALL OF YOU REMEMBER THIS THE MOST RIGHT. HEHEHEHE. How hard we fought for this trip, and how much effort put in. We all know :')
The final season. I didn't play. It wasn't an easy season for me. BUT you girls never made me feel "less-loved" in any way. WE WON ALL MATCHES EXCEPT SPORTS SCHOOL, HAHA. *pssst, top 2, psst* The games were so nerve wrecking....but had a joyous ending to it. So glad we proved ourselves. To the school and mostly ourselves :) :) :)
All of you made me love this sport more than words can say. Thank you for this memorable journey. It had many ups and downs but am glad we overcame them all. It ended on a sour note for me but guess it's going to only get better. :)
"Even when you've played the game of your life, it's the feeling of teamwork that you'll remember. You'll forget the plays, the shots, and the scores, but you'll never forget your teammates."
And this is for the juniors who have managed to read this this far:
Don't EVER give up! It's never going to be easy but it's going to be worth it, I promise. Play your best and leave the court with no regrets. It's not about winning or losing the game. It's about playing your best. You step on court, and for that 60 mins, you give your all. Whatever the outcome, it shouldn't matter anymore.
Apryl xx tell them how the crowds went wild tell them how i hope they'll shine long live the walls we crashed though how the kingom lights shined for me and you
